Jambi - Selasa 10 Mei 2022, Direktorat Lalu Lintas Polda Jambi kembali menindak para pengguna kendaraan yang menggunakan Tanda Nomor Kendaraan Bermotor (TNKB) yang tidak sesuai ketentuan di seputaran Kota Jambi.
Dirlantas Polda Jambi Kombes Pol Dhafi, SIK mengatakan bahwa TNKB atau Plat merupakan tanda Regident Ranmor yang berfungsi sebagai bukti legitimasi pengoperasian Ranmor berupa pelat atau berbahan lain dengan spesifikasi tertentu yang diterbitkan PoIri.
"TNKB atau Plat kendaraan itu sudah ada ketentuannya, mulai dari bahannya, warna, ukuran serta hurufnya. Jadi pengendara tidak boleh memasang TNKB / Plat yang tidak sesuai ketentuan (dasar putih tulisan nomor hitam), apabila ditemukan akan ditindak dengan Tilang" ujar Dirlantas.
Penggunaan TNKB dengan Dasar Putih bertuliskan Hitam sudah banyak beredar dikota Jambi namun untuk Pemberlakuannya sampai saat ini belum Sah untuk digunakan jadi apabila Bapak/Ibu, saudara dan Teman teman semua yang sudah ikut-ikutan menggunakannya, Tolong untuk dikembalikan ke asalnya yaitu Dasar Hitam bertuliskan Putih karena untuk mensahkannya pemberlakuan TNKB tersebut masih menunggu Jukrah dari Korlantas yang nantinya merujuk pada Peraturan Kapolri.
”Dari hasil kegiatan Patroli yang dilaksanakan oleh Unit 1 Sat PJR Ditlantas Polda Jambi, menindak 3 (tiga) pengendara yang menggunakan TNKB tidak sesuai ketentuan, bahkan ada 1 (satu) kendaraan yang dibawa ke kantor Ditlantas karena tidak dapat menunjukkan STNK." lanjutnya.
Secara terpisah, Kasat PJR AKBP Nelson Sianipar, S.H. mengatakan bahwa Pemeriksaan Kendaraan Bermotor di Jalan dan Penindakan Pelanggaran Lalu Lintas dan Angkutan Jalan bertujuan:
a. terpenuhinya persyaratan teknis dan laik jalan Kendaraan Bermotor;
b. terpenuhinya kelengkapan dokumen registrasi dan identifikasi pengemudi dan Kendaraan Bermotor serta dokumen perizinan dan kelengkapan Kendaraan Bermotor angkutan umum;
c. terdukungnya pengungkapan perkara tindak pidana; dan
d. terciptanya kepatuhan dan budaya keamanan dan keselamatan berlalu lintas.
"Saya menghimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat, untuk tidak mencoba coba menggunakan TNKB dengan warna dasar putih dan tulisan hitam, karena tidak sesuai ketentuan. Jika ditemukan akan dilakukan penindakan sesuai UU no 22 Thn 2009 pasal 280” lanjut Kasat PJR.
